The Producer’s Report #120 – Sound for Picture!
Jul 2010 31

This morning we (Ian, Nate, and I) listened to the collection of “signature sound” submissions created by the sound design team. Lead Sound Editor, Simon Jeker was with us, and Mike Meyer would have been with us too, if his schedule had allowed. It was very exciting to listen to what the team has come up with and see it matched up to picture. Some of the sound design we heard included elements for the Arizona Exosuit, Beam Satellite (see graphic above), Chicago’s Fleet, The Goose, a Police Lifter, and an Ultrasonic Rifle.

Ian reported that he and Steve Rimpici are having fun creating the new character of Oma saying, “He’s such a pleasant professional.”

On the equipment front, there is a good chance that we will have our edit system back up and running this week. We will know in a day or two. If successful, we will be able to resume work on Project London v.14 and hopefully schedule our next screening in about two weeks. Stay tuned for more news as it unfolds!
