The Producer’s Report #84 – Breaking 500!
Sep 2009 12

This week marks the finish of Nathan Vegdahl’s major contribution of time on this project. Nathan (or Veggie as some of us call him) spent the last three months and more working full time on supremely cool animation elements. His final efforts were focused on fine tuning the Subject C rig for the final battle scenes. Thank you Veggie! Have fun with your family, friends and working on the Durian project.

Here are the stats.

Status of Visual Effects (VFX) Shots:
Number remaining: 113
(Note: We don’t understand how we got to 113 after completing 3 things as we were at 114 last week. We must have added 2 additional last week after saying that we had 114 remaining. Seems weird. In any case, 113 is correct so that’s where we’re at.)
Number in progress: 6
Number completed: 501 (We’ve crashed through the 500 ceiling!)
Percentage remaining: 19.2%

Doom: “A Silhouette of Doom” (calculated by Ian)

Projected date for completion of all VFX:
20 December 2009 (based on projected time estimates of all tasks)
10 December 2009 (based on spreadsheet items completed per week)

This week’s recommendations:
Ian: “Morricone”
Nathan: “Silence” by Delirium. Sarah McLachlan guest stars on this quintessential Delirium track. This is great techno for y’all.
Phil: “100,000 Fireflies” by The Magnetic Fields. Charming.
