The Producer’s Report #82 – Canada’s Film is Cool!
Aug 2009 27

At our meeting tonight, Ian showed us the film for Canada’s exposition scene and it really looks great. Remember the scene of ultimate chaos filmed on the green screen stage at Victory Studios? It’s in the film! I repeat, it’s in the film! And it is hardcore cool. Thank you Tracy Yee Ming Leong for the cool graphics!

Work on visual effects continues and here are the stats.

Status of Visual Effects (VFX) Shots:
Number remaining: 122
Number in progress: 12
Number completed: 490
Percentage remaining: 21.5%

Wow, it didn’t really change much this week. But stuff is happening, people. Just so you know.

Doom: “You don’t have to be afraid of this, you just have to be afraid of the future.” A statement by Nathan McCoy overheard by Ian at tonight’s meeeting. (calculated by Ian)

Projected date for completion of all VFX:
24 November 2009 (based on projected time estimates of all tasks)
26 November 2009 (based on spreadsheet items completed per week)

This week’s recommendations:
Ian: “Diving in head-first”
Jen: “Mmmbop” by Hansen. Because it’s a catchy tune.
Nathan: “She Loves Me” by Black Lab. Just a good song from a band I had never heard of until just recently when a friend recommended them. Alt Rock. Good stuff.
Phil: “Mykonos” by Fleet Foxes. These guys sound great.

Cheers,

Phil McCoy, Executive Producer
