The Producer’s Report #74 – The In Crowd
Jul 2009 02

Today’s meeting is currently in progress even as I write this. We have a crowd of people trying to squeeze into the edit suite to review this week’s work; Veggie, Bryce, Jen, Ed, Ian, Nate and yours truly.

Status of Visual Effects (VFX) Shots:
Number remaining: 102
Number in progress: 7
Number completed: 424

Doom: 41%. (calculated by Ian)

Projected date for completion of all VFX:
5 February 2010 (based on projected time estimates of all tasks)
8 December 2009 (based on spreadsheet items completed per week)

This week’s recommendations:
Ian: “Mudslingers of Milkyway” by Bela Fleck. Because it’s awesome. It’s good working music. It’s good midnight music. It’s good walking at noon music.
Veggie: “Big Buck Bunny” by The Blender Institute. Because I made it and I want more people to see it.
Bryce: “” they make small batch gourmet lollipops. I recomment the Absynth lollipop. But the maple-bacon lollipop isn’t bad either. It’s made with real Vermont Maple Syrup with chunks of bacon. [Editors note: Bacon goes with everything.]
Ed: “Cinebarre” in Mountlake Terrace. They have a great facility for dinner and a movie without screaming kids. Nice.
Jen: “Flying Saucer Pizza” in Redmond. Because they show old sci-fi B movies, serve great pizza and have a genuine UFO hanging on the wall.
Nathan: “Fix You” by Coldplay. Because, “I was listening to it in the car on the way to this meeting and it was great.”
Phil: “Feel It (In The Air Tonight)” by Naturally 7. I heard this on NPR the other day and it knocked me down.
